Welcome back Horner's Hornets

WebbersWeb F1 reveals a new team name for the new season. 2012 proved disappointing due to early under-performance of the Red Bull team, and the similar poor results from Schumacher. The team was forced to make a hard decision between second half sponsorship and the 2013 R&D. Ultimately the team decided to focus on the future, and they enter this season with proven race winners in most of the seats, and in both the chassis and engine.

  • Engine: Red Bull
  • Chassis: Lotus
  • Sebastian Vettel
  • Jenson Button
  • Mark Webber
  • Paul di Resta
  • Max Chilton
  • Half Season Sponsorship

Welcome back Big Winner Racing

Big Winner had a lackluster season last year, but enters 2013 with a new attitude and high hopes. "The team endured a rough year last year due to sponsorship woes and poor performance from our chassis and engines. After firing 95% of its staff, BWR is hoping to be back at the sharp end."

  • Engine: Lotus
  • Chassis: Ferrari
  • Fernando Alonso
  • Lewis Hamilton
  • Sergio Perez
  • Adrian Sutil
  • Valtteri Bottas

Welcome back Forza Suid Afrika

Forza Suid Afrika was another team that bet heavily on Mercedes AMG in 2012, and paid the price for that bet. The team did score a podium finish in the European GP, but managed only 23rd place in the league. However, hope springs eternal in Brackley, and Forza Suid Afrika is back with an all-Mercedes AMG lineup for 2013. Here's hoping Hamilton is a better fit than Michael was!

  • Engine: Mercedes AMG
  • Chassis: Mercedes AMG
  • Lewis Hamilton
  • Nico Rosberg
  • Sebastian Vettel
  • Fernando Alonso
  • Jules Bianchi
  • Half Season Sponsorship

Welcome back Jordan Grand Prix

Jordan Grand Prix scored 5 point finishes in 2013, but consistency problems kept them from climbing the charts. The team managed to score a high of 103 points in Australia, and bookended that with a single point in Korea. The team started with an all Red Bull lineup, but quickly shifted to Mercedes and Mclaren -- in retrospect a bad idea, but it seemed right at the time. This season the team appears to be hedging its bets a bit, splitting between two teams that have both been solid in the pre-season testing.

  • Engine: Red Bull
  • Chassis: Mercedes AMG
  • Lewis Hamilton
  • Nico Rosberg
  • Sebastian Vettel
  • Mark Webber
  • Max Chilton
  • Half Season Sponsorship

Welcome back Team Numero Uno

Actung Shumi reveals a new team name for the new season. The team scored a podium in 2012, but an early reliance on Red Bull, coupled with a later change to Mercedes left the team uncompetitive for most of the season. We sincerely hope the team lives up to its new -- and incredibly humble -- moniker.

  • Engine: Mercedes AMG
  • Chassis: Mercedes AMG
  • Lewis Hamilton
  • Nico Rosberg
  • Sebastian Vettel
  • Romain Grosjean
  • Valtteri Bottas

Welcome back Scuderia Modificata

Two victories were not enough to keep this team out of the cellar in 2012. After a strong start, the team ended up mangling their budget and was forced into an all-Caterham lineup. The team is rested and ready, and is eager to compete for more victories in 2013.

  • Engine: Ferrari
  • Chassis: Ferrari
  • Fernando Alonso
  • Sergio Perez
  • Sebastian Vettel
  • Charles Pic
  • Giedo Van Der Garde

  • Daniel Riccardo
  • Lewis Hamilton
  • Jenson Button
  • Pastor Maldonado

Doggone Racing was was on the podium twice in 2012 behind the power of Red Bull. The team was strong, but second-half sponsorship problems caused them to drop down the charts. The team is back for 2013 and are making very sure they're not in the same position again!

Welcome Luncheon Libre

We've chosen a Red Bull chassis, but decided to go with a Ferrari engine this year after our 2012 post-season R&D gave it the best chances of surviving each race this season. • Mark Webber
  • Jules Bianchi
  • Max Chilton

  • Kimi Raikkonen
  • Lewis Hamilton
  • Jean Eric Vergne
  • Valtteri Bottas

Welcome back F1 Galizia

F1 Galizia managed 2 podium finishes in 2012, but overall the quantum wizards had a lower performance (in this universe) than expected. The team is recalibrating their machinery to correct this issue. "This year we are going to grab the bull by the horn which might mean a small trip for our team to San Fermin as a team building exercise. Of course, we will give them plenty of Alvariño with a pinch of quantum magic and not forgetting for their safety get their posteriors padded. As you can see we are planning on pulling all the stops for season 2013!"
